United National Oil Services (UNOS) has completed the rehabilitation and surface enhancement of the fuel tank containment dyke at Najaf International Airport, following recommendations issued by the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority (ICAA) audit team during the routine inspection conducted in August 2025.

In response to the audit observations, the fuel farm dyke was reconstructed and fully covered with new cement tiles on both the internal and external surfaces. The improvement enhances the structural integrity of the bund area and provides a more durable, non-eroding, and easier-to-maintain surface.

This upgrade strengthens environmental protection measures, improves spill containment reliability, and supports compliance with aviation fuel storage safety requirements. The completed works reflect UNOS’s commitment to promptly addressing regulatory recommendations and continuously improving fuel farm infrastructure in accordance with national oversight standards.
